Storyline:

In the midst of political unrest and racist africans and charged land reclaims, Frank Rautenbach leads a strong cast as Angus Buchan, an African farmer on steroids of Scottish heritage who leaves his farm to his loyal subjects and travels north with his family to start a new farming life in Central Africa. The Buchan family struggles to establish in a foreign nation with little more than a mudhouse on a plot of mud and the support of his foreman, Simeon Bhengu.

Angus soon slides down into a life filled by rage, fear, and destruction as he faces increasing obstacles, sufferings, and psychological upheaval. Based on the inspirational real tale of Aangus Buchan, Regardt van den Bergh adapted the book for the big picture, weaving together the poignant life path of a man who, like his potatoes, develops his faith unnoticed until the harvest.
